5th International Colloquium Scientific and Fundamental Aspects of the Galileo Programme

OBJECTIVES OF THE COLLOQUIUM This colloquium brings together members of the European scientific community and their international partners involved in the use of GNSS signals in their research, specifically Galileo signals. The various possibilities to use navigation satellites such as Galileo satellites for scientific purposes shall be reviewed. The Colloquium shall contribute to GNSS development in general based on scientific approaches, in particular to raise awa(...)

GIA Modelling 2015

Symposium Description Melting of ice sheets and glaciers adds to the mass of water that fills the ocean basins and results in solid Earth deformation over a large range of spatial and temporal scales. Both ice-ocean load and surface deformation changes (vertical and horizontal) are far from completely observed and where they are observed they are typically not fully understood. Observations of ice extent and paleo sea level are increasing in number, but provide less(...)

8th Workshop on GNSS Reflectometry (GNSS-R 2015)
Potsdam, Germany

The 8th workshop on GNSS reflectometry (GNSS+R 2015) will take place at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam on May 11–13, 2015. The GNSS reflectometry is a new emerging field in geodesy and for the first time the workshop will be held at a famous historical place in Germany. Until today, the GFZ is still one of the most important geodetic institutions worldwide. The reflectometry workshop will highlight results obtained in a f(...)

18th International Symposium on Geodynamics and Earth Tides

Recently, the multidisciplinary approach in geodynamics research has been increasing as well as the range of temporal and spatial scales on which geodynamic phenomena can be observed by modern instrumentation and monitoring systems. In order to take this development into account, the name of the “International Symposium on Earth Tides” has been changed to “International Symposium on Geodynamics and Earth Tides” and is organized in this form for the first time The symposium(...)

IAG Commission 1 Symposium 2014 on Reference Frames for Applications in Geosciences (REFAG2014)

The main topics of the Symposium include, but not limited to: Theory and realization of reference systems;Definition, establishment, maintenance and improvement of the geodetic reference frames for Earth science applications;Advanced terrestrial and space observation technique development for the above purposes;International collaboration for the definition and deployment of networks of terrestrially-based space geodetic observatories;(...)
