2006-04-26 The COSMIC satellites succesfully launchedBOULDER—A globe-spanning constellation of six satellites expected to improve weather forecasts, monitor climate change, and enhance space weather research headed into orbit on April 15. A Minotaur rocket launched the array from Vandenberg Air Force Base.
