The 2nd General Assembly of the IGFS - International Gravity Field Service - will be held in Fairbanks, USA, in the days Sep 20-22, 2010, hosted by the University of Alaska. Deadline for submission of abstracts is June 1, 2010. The IGFS symposium follows the 1st IGFS symposium in Istanbul, August 2006, and the Symposium on Gravity, Geoid and Earth Observation, held in Chania, Greece, 2008. The symposium will focus on gravity field determination from satellites, gravity field modelling, geoid determination and vertical datums, satellite altimetry, arctic gravity and geophysics, time-varying gravity fields for glaciology and hydrology, as well as new instrumentation for gravimetry.
